What Memories Book reads from FamilySearch
Memories Book reads basic person details and the memory items your account is allowed to access. Supported book material includes photos, text stories, and PDF memories. A memory has to be attached to a person in the selected branch before it can appear in that person's section.
Memories Book does not search private computers, phones, or cloud drives. Add missing material to FamilySearch first if you want it considered for the book.
Your tree stays where it is
Building a book does not move or delete the original memories. It also does not change names, dates, relationships, or sources in FamilySearch. The book is a new reading copy made from the information available at build time.
A refresh can capture later additions
If relatives add more photos or stories after you build a book, make a new version. The next build reads the available memories again. This is useful for family projects that continue to grow after a reunion, anniversary, or research effort.
